Recently, I happened to read about how colors influence a person.  It was quite interesting and somewhat true to my knowledge. I begin with my favorite colors….Red symbolizes power, it stimulates adrenal gland and neurons, it can add up stress,  provoke anger and frustration, it increases heartbeat and respiration, it is associated with great energy, hence it enhances human metabolism, and raises blood pressure.  Turquoise blue has a calming effect to the mind, it slows down human metabolism, it brings tranquility and depressive mood, and it suppresses appetite.  Orange augments mental abilities, creativity, and causes increased appetite.  Green has a soothing effect on eyes, it helps mental relaxation and relieves stress, it improves vision and has healing and hygienic effect.  Yellow helps to boost serotonin levels in the brain, which protects from anxiety, insomnia, panic disorders, and depression, too much of anything can cause mental fatigue, it speeds up metabolism, it stimulates pleasant and happy cells in the brain. White is an outstanding color, it is a symbol of purity, it has a soothing effect, enhances confidence, and well-being.  Black is exceptional, it represents perception and depth.  Gray is elegant and it enhances expectations.  Pink reduces stress anxiety and anger, it has feminine qualities.  Purple develops an interest in spirituality, deepen thoughts and sexuality, it produces gloomy, depressed state of mind causes frustration.  Is not that interesting?

My mom is my best companion, she used to tell me “Behave like a matured woman J when you will behave like a married with a child? Don’t be so playful. You are so funny girl” what’s that mean?  I usually laugh at her comment saying that “Mom, I am yet to have wisdom teeth.” Honestly, I don’t have wisdom teeth yet… I really get surprised what would be like behaving as a solemn school teacher….Ha Ha Ha….I am not that type of person at all.   I am a lively kind, I just need to have  a topic to talk about, many a time I felt that I have to give chance to others to talk….I am truly enthusiastic and conversationalist  ….I just need to have a bit of topic… I do not mind whether the person is infant, adult, teen or elderly.  My greatest disadvantage is that I do not engage in conversation with my age groups….I think infants, adults and the elderly are the source of wisdom and I found that they do enjoy my conversation more than anybody.    So I have a bunch of elderly people as my favorite companion.  Is that because I am a middle born child? Middleborn children are usually adaptable, independent, can be rebellious and feel left out, social and peacemaker.

I am a big eater of butter and honey; most of the milk products except plain milk are my favorites.  When I crave eating sweets if nothing is available I go for a large spoon of honey.  I do not stop there, I taste all those sweet products available in my fridge…like Nutella, Jam, Ice cream, Chocolates, wafers, etc…. the list goes endless.  I need a spirit booster after my afternoon nap, sweets are my weakness.  We have a habit of consuming hot Haldhidhoodh/milk with turmeric during winter; it relieves body pain, cold, coughs, and it heals wound also.   It is an anti-inflammatory agent that helps to removes toxins in the body.  My mom complains that I am adding too much of turmeric in my cooking…true I do…it gives brightness to dishes.   I am not a fan of green tea or coffee, but I choose green tea occasionally when I really want to sit alone and take a sip, hot coffee with my close companion is a weakness.   She is a medical practitioner; though she does not like to have coffee, she will gracefully join with me.  We both have the same tastes in life and we are big chatters J winking!    I often prepare tea with lots of ginger and cardamom for my guests… it is pleasing and rejuvenating as well I do not keep too many friends in life; it is not easy to please everyone, so I stick with someone who really cares about me and I go to any extent to make them happy.

I had an opportunity to go through the teachings of Lord Buddha ….It was truly mesmerizing and inspirational,   though it is hard to practice.   Many of his teachings were about selflessness; self-mastery is a wonderful technique to practice….. You alone responsible for your feelings and emotions, none to blame for that…… and never be anxious about what others have an opinion about you…..I do….  I realized that selfless service to humanity brings plenty of happiness…. The sense of forgiveness helps to move on from something which does not bring any productivity.  I found the practice of being dispassionate is merely an impossible task for me; I hope I would achieve that after several years of practice……I found meditation helps to achieve the sense of non-attachment,  tranquility,   modesty, kindheartedness, gentle talk and willingness to help others, these are is essential quality, possessing these virtues are greatest achievements in human life… We often fail to control thoughts I think several years of meditation possibly will help to put a halt to the sudden rush of thoughts.   I am a person who always follows my heart……endurance and positive thinking is a marvelous asset.  We are not the lone controller of our thoughts, it is predestined….does not that sound strange?  It is true…..our lives are predetermined by our previous deeds from several births.  We all will have that moment of excitement while looking back in our life and say that ‘I have made it’.

I feel every day has something to teach us, it gives us an opportunity to learn new things and a new lesson to grow; self-improvement is an important aspect of a successful life.   Firstly, personal development is something achievable through intense practice, learning to take responsibility for one’s own mistakes, keeping promises and sticking on to it, be attentive and curious…..I do…. self – love is very important…..we all have flaws ….accept it and move forward.  Time management is truly essential in this fast world, time is precious for all,  I always try to set a few hours a day for relaxation purpose, rest of the time I want to be productive, so that when I go to bed I could validate myself,  a dull day can bring only worthlessness and disappointment.    I strongly believe in self- care, good mental and physical health is the key to happiness, good health will not come in an easy package, needs to work so hard to achieve it with regular exercise, meditation,  good sleep, and good eating habits. Once in a while, we all are deserved to be treated with comforts, though it may vary person to person.  I think self- esteem boost self- confidence; I often need to tell myself    ‘Wow!  Girl, you are good, you are doing very well.”  I do not expect appreciation from the outside world, I do it myself I do forgive for my mistakes and move forward, I thank myself and take credit for good deeds.    We all have different goals in our lives; prioritize them and make sure that are we putting effort to achieve the same.

Mindful living is something I really obsessed with …. I do not hide emotions…we all are emotional creatures…..why should cover up something which is very common for all.    I have started realizing that everything in your life whether it is material or physical or emotional or mental is going to pass away, nothing is permanent be it happiness or sadness or jealous or ego or pride or lust or desire… everything is momentary.   Why should we stress over things which are not under our control? Today’s priority turns out tomorrow’s least important thing in our lives.  I hate multi-tasking and it is not my cup of tea, I feel multi-tasking takes out energy very easily, moreover, it reduces the precision of work. So I attend each and every work with mindfulness, don’t we enjoy drinking a cup of coffee,  shop clothing watching over the shelves,  checking patterns, trend,   price, etc… don’t we put all our concentration in cooking or driving or eating?   Be in the moment.   It is good to be inquisitive, there are so many things we left out to learn, and it is ocean sized.  Each and every individual can teach something in your day to day living, age does not matter, all we need to have the ability and curiosity to grasp.  People living close to nature will have zero physical and mental ailment, we all know that sunlight is the main source of well-being.  While reading or listening it is always good to have the tendency to slow down and re-read or re-wind, it helps our brain to absorb the subject and keep intact.   It is always good to take mini breaks while doing things; it will definitely increase efficiency.  Be witty, practice laughing at your humor…. Be focused at your work so that it does not require re-doing.   Life is full of challenges be prepared and face it while doing so never lose your uniqueness.  Last but not least,  health and good living style is essential and added benefit too.
